MongoliAid raises another tidy sum
Happy to report that after a wet week the MongoliAid Gods were smiling on us today. The Sun was out and so were the customers! We raised another $730 for GobiCare Water. Thanks to Neil, Jess, Britt, Julie, Lynn and Mick!

MongoliAid history was made today in a wet and windy Sydney. MongoliAid and the Wrap With Love organization have agreed to send 19000 wraps to Mongolia between 2014-2016, bringing the total number of blankets sent to Mongolia since early 2004 to 50000! It’s a great vote of confidence in MongoliAid and a huge responsibility, but we are proud to step up to the plate and make a difference on such a scale. By the end of 2016, ‘wraps’ will be found in every province in Mongolia, meaning that MongoliAid has reached every province also – an average of about 2200 blankets per province (= approx 11 villages each receiving 200 blankets). On such a wet day, the future has never looked brighter! Thank you Jayne and Lorraine from WWL for meeting me today, and to MongoliAid treasurer John for his limitless support and big heart!
Cheers
Barry (President)

Last night MongoliAid raised $1650 at Bowling 4 Mongolia 2013. Thank you Cairns for all the support – those who came along and those who donated because they couldn’t make it. GobiCare Water grows and grows!

Very happy to report that MongoliAid is back on the front foot. We raised another $270 selling nothing but second hand books for $1 each in just over 4 hours. Thanks Jessica Beavon for all your help and positive energy! And thanks again to all our friends and supporters who donated books this year – until next time …

MongoliAid in Mongolia 2013
I am happy to report that 31 000 MongoliAid blankets can now be found across half of the sovereign territory of Mongolia, particularly in the west and south. During my September visit, blankets were delivered to Zavkhan, Gobi-Altai, Khovd, Dundgovi, Khentii, Tov and South Gobi provinces.
MongoliAid also paid for a new water pump at Taishir soum in the Gobi-Altai province. Unfortunately my camera and pictures were stolen just days before I was due to leave, which was pretty devastating at the time … but life has to go on. I am already planning my redemption! Here are some pictures of variable quality that have since come from some random sources. Hopefully more to come. At the end of the day, it’s not about the pictures – it’s about the children who live in remote Mongolia staying warm when they are studying or when they are sick or when they are just hanging out being Mongolian kids!
All You Need is Love
