Mega MongoliAid Garage Sale at Merriland Hall 2012

Another triumph for the Stark family and MongoliAid, and hence for the people of the Gobi, as the sale raised over $5000! A big thank you to fellow MongoliAiders Julie and Liam Lentas for their assistance, and to all the kind folks who made donations of goods, visited the sale on the day or also helped with the logistics in some way – THANK YOU too.

Special guests visit the Tablelands ahead of another monster garage sale for Mongolia …

Special Guests in Australia …

We were excited to welcome Bodio and Monkhtuya from the Gobi Revival Fund NGO to tropical north Queensland this week. After some days experiencing the reef and attractions of the coast near Cairns, our special guests visited MongoliAid’s very own Stark family in Atherton. Andrea, Ed, Emily,Georgia and friends are organising another monster garage sale at Merriland Hall in Atherton on November 17 to raise money for our next water project.

Another shipment to Mongolia begins …

Yesterday MongoliAid bid farewell to 6360 wraps and blankets, headed to Mongolia for delivery next year. Another large shipment is not too far away. A huge thank you to Maureen Kelly from Wridgways for organising the paperwork and donating Brisbane logistics, together with Luke Taylor and Matthew Uilao who packed the container. Roy Boulton, the on-site manager of Fort Knox Storage at Bulimba, MongoliAid HQ in SE QLD, was again his usual, most helpful self, and whose efforts make everything easier. And to our very own John Barry, thank you young man!

The opening of the New Choice Children’s Centre.

MongoliAid is very happy to support the New Choice Children’s Centre in Ulaan Baatar. Thank you to our Aussie supporters who came through when we put the word out seeking assistance for the Centre. We were able to supply a new refrigerator, oven, activity supplies, laptop, bookcases and paint.

BIG news fromTsogt Tsetsii …

MongoliAid is happy to announce that the people of Tsogt Tsetsii will soon have a water truck to help deliver clean water from our well. The money needed to complete the purchase followed donations from four Mongolian transport companies, together with a donation from us. Watch this space for more news!

International Scout Jamboree – Mongolia 2012.
