St Gerard Majella School’s Justice Squad supports GobiCare
Continuing a proud tradition dating back to 2006, the Justice Squad, young people from St Gerard Majella School who care about a better world for all, and mentored by teacher Maria Beswick, have raised $1000 (!) for GobiCare. They raised their incredible sum by selling tea towels within the school community. With friends like the Justice Squad, MongoliAid is well placed to implement our GobiCare programs in the not too distant future!

Our next donation – to Dorgon soum, also in Khovd aimag.
Monkhtuya and Muno meet the representative for Dorgon soum in the Khovd regional parliament. We gave her 200 ‘wraps’ for the school and hospital.

Just two days after our containers arrived in Mongolia, we are able to hand over blankets to representatives from the school at Monkh Khairkhan, a village in the far Western province of Khovd. The village is difficult to get to, windswept and subject to extreme weather. The representatives just happened to be in UB, so we were very pleased to hand over these donations today. The school kids get their donations sooner rather than later, and we do not have to transport them all that way. Monkh Khairkhan soum sits in the foothills below the 2nd highest mountain in Mongolia. Monkhtuya stands between the two school reps in the top photo.
